Our Journey
Ponda Education Society's College of Education is a B.Ed. teacher-training college in Goa, affiliated to Goa University and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
The college was founded to address the difficulty science and other graduates faced in obtaining teacher training, and began operating on 16 September 2004 with an intake of 100 students. Since 2015–16 the B.Ed. programme runs over two years, so roughly 200 students are enrolled at any time.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to preparing student-teachers with knowledge, values, discipline, creativity and confidence for the classrooms of Goa.

Objectives of the College

Ponda Education Society after realizing the hardship faced by the Science and other Graduates/ Post Graduates in getting a degree in Teachers training decided to start a College of Education in their Campus at Farmagudi.
After getting necessary approval/ recognition from National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE) and Goa University, the P.E.S’s College of Education started functioning from 16th September 2004 with an intake of 100 students for the B.Ed. course. Since 2015-16 the B.Ed Program has become a two-year programme. So at any point of time after June 2016 200 students are enrolled for B.Ed. in our Institution.
The college is situated at Farmagudi on NH-4A alongside of the Panjim – Ponda National Highway. Ponda is a developing town of historical importance surrounded by all the important temples of Goa such as Shree Shantadurga, Shree Manguesh, Shree Naguesh, Shree Gopal Ganapati and Shree Ramnath are at an average distance of 4 km from the college.
The College is situated in a beautiful green and peaceful campus, a healthy location for learning.
