The word library has been derived from the Latin word “Libraria” which means a place where books and other reading materials are stored. Library is a fountainhead of information and knowledge. It is the most important intellectual resource of the academic community and helps the members of the institution individually as well as collectively for self-development, fulfillment of curriculum requirements and promotes study and research.
The P.E.S’s College Of Education Library is situated on the top floor, thus keeping it isolated from the hustle and bustle which helps students to concentrate well. It is surrounded by Mountain View which creates a peaceful and serene ambience which is very healthy for students mind. The Library covers an area of approx. 150 sq.mtr and can accommodate around 100 students at a batch.
The Library is well equipped with textbooks on Education as well as on other subjects which are important for the student’s development. The library provides an access to E-Journals and E-Books as well as subscribes variety of journals on Education and has a rich collection of around 5000 books. It also has a collection of Instructional charts and Educational CDs.The collection is continuously reviewed and added with new books to support institution needs. The library membership is compulsory and it gives open access service to the members.
